The "Yeni Musavat" newspaper has apologized to Anar Mammadov for disseminating untrue information.
The “Yeni Musavat” newspaper has refuted the untrue information it once published about Azerbaijani businessman, founder of the Garant Holding group of companies, founder and head of the Azerbaijan-America Alliance Anar Mammadov and apologized to him.
According to News.Az, the information about the refutation was published in today’s issue of the “Yeni Musavat” newspaper:
”Yeni Musavat” newspaper published a number of articles related to Anar Ziya oglu Mammadov in its issue No 168 (4484) dated July 3, 2010, quoting the Azadlyg newspaper and entitled ‘The bear kabab scandal between the Emergency Minister and minister’s son’, ‘Anar Mammadov orders kabab from a bear for $1mln at Kamaladdin Heydarov’s restaurant’, the articles titled ‘President has warned Ziya Mammadov’ and ‘Father charged for Anar Mammadov’s bear barbecue eating and yacht racing’ in its issue No 186 (4502) dated July 21, 2010, citing no source, articles ‘Who did Anar Mammadov eat the bear with?’ and ‘Javid Gurbanov and Arif Asgarov’s sons also present at the scandalous meeting’, ‘Video on adventures of officials’ sons presented to country leadership’, without reference to any source in its issue No 201 (4517) dated August 5, 2010, articles ‘Sheikh expels Anar Mammadov from Dubai’ and ‘Behavior of Minister’s son causes deportation of Azerbaijani men from Dubai’, ‘Great scandal at Burj Khalifa’ published in the issue No 239 (4555) of ‘Yeni Musavat’ dated September 14, 2010, with reference to Turan news agency, articles ‘No reaction given to international scandal caused by Anar Mammadov and ‘The whims of transport minister’s son cause problems for the state’ published in ‘Yeni Musavat’ newspaper issue No 240 (4556) dated September 15, 2010 with reference to the Turan news agency, and articles ‘Ministerial son’s expensive car not allowed into the country’ and ‘World has only three patterns of a $1mln- car’ in the issue No 161 (4820) of the Yeni Musavat newspaper dated June 20, 2011.
In observance of the legal requirements regarding the need to execute the enacted judicial verdicts of the Courts of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the “Yeni Musavat” newaspaper indicates that the information provided in the abovementioned articles has not been verified and can be considered untrue and apologizes for the dissemination of such information”, the statement reads.
