On 30 October, Azerbaijani-American Alliance organized a reception in Washington, DC.

The reception held at the National Building Museum, attended by over 500 people, was opened by Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the United States Elin Suleymanov. Welcoming the guests, he said "the best way of diplomacy is to present the country's culture, and this is being successfully implemented at this event".

Then the founder and president of the Azerbaijan-American Alliance, Anar Mammadov, addressed the event. Welcoming the guests, he said: "Dear guests, welcome to our event. It is a great honour for me to have you here today on this evening to familiarize with Azeri music, dance and cuisine.

As I know this evening our guests are U.S. senators, congressmen, ambassadors and diplomats representing 40 countries, as well as prominent representatives of the arts and culture and prominent businessmen.

Organizer of the reception is the Azerbaijani-American Alliance. In the past, the Alliance organized at the Ronald Reagan building an event called "An Evening in Washington, dedicated to friends from Baku", and some of you took part in it.

I want to reiterate that the Azerbaijani-American Alliance is a nonprofit organization operating in the United States and promoting the history, culture, art, education, sports and the economy of Azerbaijan in America."
